Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store Offers a Unique Valentine’s Dinner Experience
February 1, 2023 — Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store will host the third annual Valentine’s Day three-course dinner for couples at 1837 Providence House, with seatings at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13 -Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, Feb. 8, at noon; a full payment of $140 per couple (plus tax) is due at the time of the reservation. Guests will select their main course at the time of the reservation, also. Tables will be sold on a first-come, first served basis. Seatings range from one table for two guests to two tables of four guests. Spots are limited.
The three-course dinner includes:
The first course consists of the guest’s choice of: tossed salad consisting of a spring mix, strawberries, bacon, candied walnuts, shaved parmesan, cranberries and vinaigrette or roasted red pepper and smoked gouda bisque.
The main course includes the guest’s choice of: roasted chicken breast with sun-dried tomato and white wine cream sauce or filet mignon au poivre cooked medium in cognac and pepper cream sauce or pesto crusted mahi mahi with lemon cream sauce.
Either will be served with garlic herb mashed potatoes and roasted broccolini and carrots.
Homemade dessert choices include tiramisu, homemade village cake or smoked maple bourbon pecan ice cream served on a brownie.
