The fun-filled day offers several activities, including a petting zoo, games, live music and vendors for Guests to enjoy. “Guests are invited to spend the day exploring the grounds, purchasing food, enjoying the campus by visiting The Casey Jones Home and Railroad Museum, The Farm at Casey Jones Village, Art in the Village Gallery and The Old Country Store,” General Manager Brooks Shaw said. He highlighted that Guests can pick up a Festival Passport upon arrival. After collecting stamps from various village areas, those with four stamps can enjoy a complimentary scoop of Blue Bell ice cream from Miss Anne’s Ice Cream Shoppe.

The inaugural Casey Jones Village Festival in July 2022 was part of the Jackson-Madison County Centennial celebration; it attracted nearly 1,000 Guests to the village. Shaw recalled, “Despite the heat, we had an impressive turnout.” To offer a more comfortable outdoor experience, Shaw and his team moved the event from July to October this year.

Shaw expressed enthusiasm for the festival’s second year. “We’re eager to continue the tradition, bringing back crowd favorites like the mini train rides and the petting zoo. Additionally, we’ve introduced a live pony carousel for children to enjoy this year,” he said. “Guests can shop throughout the village, explore the museum with free admission and choose between festival fare or a traditional Southern meal from the buffet. It’s a day for everyone to unite with family and friends and make new memories along the way.”
